When Sasuke visited Paradise under the pretence of being a customer, Boruto recognised Tentō in a photo, lending credence to their claim. When their leader Mozu Shitakiri admitted to being interested in the Senri Hawks, Boruto accused her of attacking Maruta's facility, though she pointed out they had no evidence. Mozu ordered them to leave, and gave them a warning to pass along to Maruta. The next day, while Maruta took Sasuke to the hawk habitat, Boruto stayed behind and ended up befriending Mozu's son Tsuzura, who was trying to readjust Yuki a rare white hawk to hunt in the wild. He offered to help, getting a book hawk rearing from Maruta's facility, and reading to him upon learning that Tsuzura's mother refused to teach him to read. Boruto began teaching him to read and write, and the two exchanged messages through Yuki.

2. The manga was adapted by Toei Animation into a 114-episode anime television series which was broadcast on TV Asahi from 1986 to 1989. Plot[edit] See also: List of Saint Seiya characters The story focuses on an orphan named Seiya who was forced to go to the Sanctuary in Greece to obtain one of the "Cloths" (聖衣(クロス), Kurosu), the Bronze Cloth of the Pegasus constellation, a protective armor worn by the Greek goddess Athena's 88 warriors known as "Saints" (聖闘士(セイント), Seinto, or "Knights" in some adaptations). Upon awakening his "Cosmo" (小宇宙(コスモ), Kosumo, lit. "mini-cosmos" or "mini-universe"), Seiya acquires the ability to unleash the true power of a Saint through what is variously described as the "burning", "explosion", or "big bang" of his "Cosmo" (alluding to the Big Bang of the universe). He then quickly becomes the Pegasus Saint and returns to Japan to find his older sister.

Odd Taxi came in as a dark horse in the spring 2021 lineup as a show anime fans would be wise not to sleep on. AdvertisementPrevious SlideNext Slide3 / 14List slidesSK8 the InfinityList slidesSK8 the Infinity AdvertisementI’m not usually one for sports anime, but SK8 the Infinity turned me around on the genre and reignited my desire to play Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. It also doesn’t hurt that the anime’s opening theme is a certified banger. SK8 the Infinity follows Canadian snowboarder Langa Hasegawa, who transferred to a school in Okinawa and quickly became entrenched in the city’s hardcore skateboarding scene. With the help of his best (boy)friend, Reki Kyan, Langa learns to transfer his skills of shredding the slopes to shredding the gnar. Studio Bone knocked it out of the park this winter with the debut of its original anime. The show serves not only as an explainer for skateboarding terms and tricks but also as an exhibit of smoothly animated skateboarding and a wholesome coming of age story. Sometimes anime can be sweet. And the cloying love stories in Horimiya are enough to put a dentist in cardiac arrest. Horimiya primarily follows the budding love romance of two high schoolers: Kyouko Hori, the most popular girl in school, and Izumi Miyamura, the class recluse (see what they did there?). Instead the story is concerned exploring the war at hand on a more personal level, and as a result uncovers pride as a reoccurring pattern within the plot. Pride fuels the war that took away their mother, drives the children to live on their own away from their unpleasant guardian, steers Setsuko to a premature death before leaving Seita to his own downfall, suffering alone on the brink of death. The film pays close attention to these moments, viewing them from the perspective of Seita’s ghost. It detaches viewers from the story momentarily, so that we may capture a glimpse of how he reflects on those actions. Sometimes even recoiling in fear, knowing the consequences about to unfold from his doing. In this, Grave of the Fireflies laments how someone’s pride can lead to the destruction of others and themselves.
The film strives to tug at each of our heartstrings, numerous times for what both children must go through, while also lending some commentary on Japan’s fervent sense of nationalism during those times; critical of one’s pride and dignity to dangerous extents. Crafted by a master hand, it’s a movie that knows what it wishes to be and sets out to achieve that. However, in reality this does not always come true. It’s obvious to see why fans enjoy Grave of the Fireflies to the extent they do: it succeeded in eliciting strong emotions that few others probably ever had. But to talk about a film aspiring for such a personal experience, I feel the need to explain mine.
