About characters, the protagonist is very controversial in the fandom. Although, I do like Takemichi, opposite to most viewers, I acknowledge his character development could've been improved. This anime has something uncommon, given that the protagonist is not strong, and his fighting skills don't improve significantly over time, which is one of the main reasons to the general dislike towards him.
