RELATED: 40 Best Romance Anime of All Time (Ranked) 9. ‘To LOVE-Ru’ “To LOVE-Ru” introduces us to the rather ordinary life of Rito Yuki, which takes an unexpected twist when the alien princess Lala Satalin Deviluke teleports into his bathroom. Intent on marrying Rito to avoid a political marriage back on her home planet, Lala’s presence introduces many extraterrestrial challenges, comedic scenarios, and plenty of ecchi moments. As Rito grapples with his growing feelings for Lala and the challenges of extraterrestrial politics, he often finds himself in unintentionally lewd situations with various characters. The allure of “To LOVE-Ru” in the ecchi realm is its delightful blend of science fiction, comedy, and romantic elements. It’s brimming with classic ecchi situations, often stemming from Lala’s alien technology or the cultural differences between Earth and her planet. The anime does commendably integrate its ecchi content into the story without overshadowing the central plot. Its charm lies in its lighthearted approach to romance and the comedic scenarios in which Rito invariably finds himself, making “To LOVE-Ru” a favorite among ecchi enthusiasts. 10. ‘Kiss X Sis’ Keita Suminoe’s life becomes increasingly complicated in “Kiss X Sis” as he navigates the affections of his two older step-sisters, Ako and Riko. As Keita prepares for his high school entrance exams, he is caught between the romantic and often overtly sensual advances of Ako and Riko. Crunchyroll. This is the second television series adaptation of the manga after the 1997 anime of the same name, covering the Conviction arc from the manga. A second season, covering the first half of the Hawk of the Millennium Empire arc, aired in 2017. [5] Plot[edit] The story follows Guts as the "Black Swordsman", an appearance which was briefly seen in the first episode of the 1997 television series as well as in the final scene of the Golden Age Arc films. [6] Guts was once a wandering mercenary taken in by the mercenary group known as the Band of the Hawk (鷹の団, Taka no Dan) and he fought alongside them before their mutilated leader, Griffith, sacrificed his followers to become one of the God Hand and continue his dream of ruling a kingdom of his own. Only Guts and his lover Casca, who lost her sanity and memory from the horrors she saw and endured, escaped the "Eclipse" ritual. However, they were branded with marks that attract evil, restless spirits and other similar entities. With Casca in the care of blacksmith Godo and his adopted daughter Erica as well as Rickert, the only member of the Hawks absent during the Eclipse, Guts set off to hunt down the God Hand's Apostles to find and kill Griffith in a quest for vengeance. Years have passed, and Guts is joined in his hunt by an elf named Puck as events the God Hand has long waited for are beginning to unfold.
