"Image Report") was released in Japan in VHS format
between 1994 and 1996. [81][82][83] The
OVAs feature very short clips that take place after the end of the series. They also contain video montages from the anime, image songs, voice actor interviews, and satirical animated shorts focusing on the four protagonists. [81][84] The OVAs consist of three volumes as well as an opening and ending encyclopedia. A four-DVD box set containing this series was released in Japan by Pony Canyon on December 15, 2004. [73] Funimation dubbed the OVAs (though not the anime montages[85]) and (re)dubbed the first theatrical film with their original cast from the anime, and released them both in North America in a two-disc DVD bundle titled Yu Yu Hakusho: The Movie & Eizou Hakusho on December 13, 2011. [86] This version splits up parts of the OVAs and
does not
include the Japanese voice actor interviews. A brand new OVA of Yu Yu Hakusho was released with a Blu-ray box set of the series on October 26, 2018, in Japan. It adapts the "Two Shot" bonus chapter from the manga's seventh volume and the manga's penultimate chapter "All or Nothing". [87][88] In October 2019, Funimation announced the OVA release with an English dub. [89] CDs[edit] The music for the Yu Yu Hakusho anime adaptation was composed by Yusuke Honma.
[6][7] Kodansha collected its 719 individual chapters in forty-eight tankōbon volumes, released from November 6, 1995,[8] to November 6, 2013. [9] In North America, the manga was licensed for
English release by Tokyopop (along with the anime series) in 2001. [10][11] The company changed the names of the characters in the anime edition, and subsequently changed them in the manga to match. [12][13] These name changes matched the name changes that Sega implemented into the Western releases of the
Initial D Arcade Stage video games. [12] Tokyopop also censored the brief scenes of nudity from the original manga. [1] In addition, "street slang" was interlaced in translations.
. . Ayanokōjiii!!!! You were worried about us getting a continuation, weren’t you?! I wasn’t gonna let it end just there! I can’t wait to see what kind of stories the new season of anime brings! Let’s all watch together! Akari Kitō (Suzune Horikita) At last, the second term will be animated! It’s such a long time coming! Congratulations! I’m happy I got to voice Suzune in animated form again too. Please look forward to the continuing unconventional battle of wits between students at this advanced nurturing high school! Ayana Taketatsu (Kei Karuizawa) I’m so happy we’re getting this continuation. I think Karuizawa will have a lot to do in the second term! What kinds of tests await them at the school? I’m really excited to find out! Keep looking forward to the anime broadcast! Yurika Kubo (Kikyō Kushida) I myself have been looking forward to not only participating in the recording since I heard about the "You-jitsu" anime sequel, but also to sharing this happy announcement with all of you who love this work. Let's enjoy experiencing the exciting and thrilling life at Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced
Nurturing High School together again! Ryōta Ōsaka (Yōsuke Hirata) It’s been a long time since the first term, but it’s awesome that were getting the second term animated. I’m not sure if Hirata will get to play
much of a role, but I hope you’re all looking forward to it! M・A・O (Airi Sakura) Congratulations on Classroom of the Elite getting a new anime adaptation! During the first term, Airi was so bad at interacting with people, but worked so hard for her class. I thought it was really cute how she started to develop a crush on Ayanokōji. Just wait and see what kinds of new trials the students face in the anime! Toshiki Iwasawa (Rokusuke Kōenji) It's been so long, you guys! It's awesome to see Classroom of the Elite's TV anime get another season! Seriously awesome! Obviously I'll be playing Kōenji again, but as a fan of the source material, I can't wait to see a bunch of these tests animated! And just like in the first season, you'll get to see how Kōenji shines(?) and the beauties of his strength! Rina Hidaka (Arisu Sakayanagi) I know a lot of people have been waiting for this continuation.
