A continuation of the Fatal Fury series, Real Bout uses the name that was originally intended for the series and basically starts off on a clean slate. Super desperation moves (SDMs) complemented the DMs that were introduced in Fatal Fury 3, and you had the ability to attack an opponent who was on one of three playing fields, eliminating all the chasing that occurred in previous games. Other new additions included guard cancels and dodging attacks.
Also so many new characters keep showing up and dying 2 episodes after that which is a total failure to make us feel sympathy for them. If Tenma or Anna died we could've felt sad but why would we get sad over some side character which was introduced 2 episodes ago?
Monster was the most disappointing experience for me and I didn't enjoy it at all. The anime was all about trying to make you feel something deep and big is behind the scenes but in truth nothing like that had existed.
