Even though I hated Oregairu, I still recognise that it was objectively a very well written story. That same quality isn’t present here. At least, not in the anime.
So, in order to really explain what I mean by some of my criticisms I’ll have to give a very brief summation of the plot. You can read the MAL summary, but I’ll put it in simpler English. Loser essentially begs a girl to go out with him every day for a few months in middle school, gets rejected every time and they eventually settle as friends.

. in addition, it captures a corruption of adolescent discovery that wallflowers may find relatable. possibly upsettingly so. it's a powerful read so far. and i'm looking forward to reading it week to week.
