[4] She is the third member of the crew and the second to join, doing so during the Orange Town Arc. [19] She is the adoptive sister of Nojiko after the two were orphaned and taken in by Bell-mère. She was formerly a member of the Arlong Pirates and initially joined the Straw Hats so that she could rob them in order to buy back her village from Arlong. However, she legitimately joined the Straw Hats after they rebelled against and defeated Arlong. Her dream is to make a map of the entire world.

It is based on the 1967 semi-autobiographical short story of the same name by Akiyuki Nosaka. The film stars Tsutomu Tatsumi, Ayano Shiraishi [ja], Yoshiko Shinohara [ja] and Akemi Yamaguchi [ja]. Set in the city of Kobe, Japan in June 1945, it tells the story of two siblings and war orphans, Seita and Setsuko, and their desperate struggle to survive during the final months of World War II. Universally acclaimed, Grave of the Fireflies has been ranked as one of the greatest war films of all time and is recognized as a major work of Japanese animation. [4][5] Plot[edit] In March 1945, American Boeing B-29 Superfortress bombers destroy most of Kobe during the close of World War II. Military children of an Imperial Japanese Navy captain, Seita and Setsuko, survive, but their mother is severely injured and later dies. Seita conceals their mother's death from Setsuko to keep her happy. The siblings move in with a distant aunt, and Seita retrieves supplies he buried before the bombing and gives everything to his aunt, save for a tin of Sakuma drops. The manga began serialisation in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 1989, Issue 43, and is currently still running. Weekly Shōnen Magazine goes on sale every Wednesday, each week in Japan unless there is a double issue for holidays (Christmas, New Years, or Golden Week in late April/early May. ) Each chapter of the series is marked as a "Round". In July 17, 2012, Morikawa released volume 100 of Hajime no Ippo. A website was set up to help promote the event. Only 23 years after he started the series.
